Losing David Jones will hurt, he was winning some draws in key situations and playing well.

If I were Hartley, I would be telling the 4th line to get comfortable on the bench and roll 3 most of the night. NJs 4th line will skate circles around them.

With this likely being Marty's last game in Calgary, a reminder to Flames fans of the 1990 draft when the Flames took Trevor Kidd 11th overall leaving Marty for the Devils at 20th.

Some fellow named Jaromir also went 5th overall in the '90 draft.

I from what I have seen on the stat sheets Monahan has been pretty impressive so far. I have to wonder though how long they can keep surviving before their young guys get into slumps. I am eager to watch this game as I think it is one the Devils can win and start to build momentum but it certainly wouldn't surprise me if Calgary got win as they look to be quite a bit faster. Also I am not so sure how I have felt about Marty's play so far he seems to be keeping us in games but not being able to make that needed save. I would have liked to see Schneider get the start tonight.

I hope Larsson just has a great game and shows that he deserves to be playing and not sitting in the press box.

He will likely be on just as short a leash as Larsson. Funny how both were giving great opportunities in the pre season and both seemed to have looked pretty good then the season starts and Pete jerks the leash back 10 feet.

Even though I hoped Schneider would have gotten the nod tonight I still like the goaltending match up for us. I am a little worried a guy like Mcgratton acts like an idiot, hopefully he see's limited ice time with no one in our line up being able to stand up to him it will be interesting if the game gets rough.

When Zidlicky is in the lineup it's like spotting the other team 2 goals before the game even starts.

Yes, The Flames traded up with the Devils to draft Kidd.

Zajac and Henrique can have all the possession they like, they need to start scoring goals.

They shouldn't have been playing together in the first place. We have three good scoring wingers on the right and three good possession centers. Shouldn't be too hard to find working combinations that doesn't require elias at center. .
